This Reservoir and platform south of Dongjingyu village currently is a seemingly dry and wasted valley of soils, rocks, weeds and water. By the looks of it, people come and go just to draw up water from its well. Vegetation seems to have left the barren grounds. A mixture of irony and absurdity can be a fitting description for this place which should supposedly be the source and dwelling place of life.
Through the efforts of reviving the village, this proposal aims to introduce a design solution for this reservoir-a birth of grandiose scenery utilizing the immensity of the surrounding elements of nature that would bring peace to CULTURE, MAN and ENVIRONMENT.
The site is fertile and the nature groans in eager expectation for the birth of this seed of innovation and creativity.
Like a seed thrown in the forest, this project will bloom. The idea is to develop a sustainable recreational public space that can adapt with the ever changing phases of nature-from a simple PUBLIC PARK surrounding a detention pond to a beautiful and tactile OASIS amidst woods and rocks.
